It is a big commitment, but it also has big rewards. You will directly impact Guiding in your community while developing highly marketable skills to enhance your professional growth.

To be successful as an ACL, we know that there are a few essentials you will need to demonstrate. Please read through and complete the application below.

Please confirm that as an ACL you are committed to the following:

Meet our 48-hour service standard for responding to GGC related emails and phone request from caregivers, Guiders, staff, and other volunteers.
Participate in a monthly teleconference call with Community Planning Coordinator
Ensure that a monthly message goes out to your community through GuideON eNews
Attend two weekend-long ACL forum meetings/year
Recruit and place Community Guiders throughout your community
Be hands-on in your community as needed to facilitate issue resolution and to host membership growth activities
Must use technology to support efficiencies and create change (training provided as needed for ON IT platform which includes Office 365, One Note, One Drive, and Skype for Business)
Complete five modules of ACL training and four TEAM trainings within first six months of term
Live in your community for the next three years

Essential Experience

You must have demonstrated experience in at least three of the following four areas:

1. You have volunteered directly with girls in Guiding for at least three years*

2. You have been an active member of your geographic community beyond Girl Guides*
