Though the online girl membership registration system is our preferred method of registration, in some circumstances, it cannot be used. Please tell us why you require an exception.

You can transfer your daughter to a different unit by logging into your family account for online registration and click on the option "Select New Group/Unit" under your daughter's name. Transfer can be completed provided there are available spaces.

Note: Girls can begin changing units during Phase 2 of registration starting on Wednesday, May 16, 2018.

Do I have to buy a full uniform?
Girl Guides of Canada is a uniformed organization for girls and women. Having a uniform provides a sense of belonging and pride in being part of the organization, and acts as a unifier across communities and backgrounds. Visit our online Uniform Guidelines for full details.

Where do I get a uniform?
Visit the online Girl Guide Store to purchase your daughter/ward’s uniform. We do not have any physical store locations.

Can my daughter/ward visit a unit before committing as a member?

No, she may not. In order for a girl to attend a meeting, she must be a registered member. An exception to this is if a unit is holding a ‘bring a friend’ night and invites existing members to invite a friend for one evening. If the friend wishes to attend further meetings, she must register with the organization.

Our organization does run a ‘Try Now, Join Later’ program at select units each Spring, which offers girls an opportunity to try the unit through the end of the Guiding year. Information about this program is available on our website and is typically released mid-March. If you have a question about the Try Now, Join Later program, please note it in the comment box below.

If you have added your daughter/ward to a waitlist, you will be contacted should a space become available, as outlined via our Girl Registration FAQs. Our office is unable to provide an update regarding where your daughter/ward is on the waitlist.

In accordance with our Girl Registration FAQs, you will be granted a refund only if eligible. Once your request has been submitted, a member of our team will contact you.
